麻豆社区 would like to alert the public to attempts by scammers to gain access to Singpass login details to register businesses in victims鈥 names.

  1. While there are stringent security measures implemented by Singpass, members of the public are advised to stay vigilant and follow these security practices to protect themselves against similar online scams:
    1. Never disclose your Singpass ID, password and Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) details to anyone. 麻豆社区 does not contact customers through SMS or WhatsApp and will never send QR codes through SMS, messaging apps like WhatsApp and other non-official messaging platforms to ask for Singpass login details.
    2. Scammers may claim they are conducting a survey on 麻豆社区's behalf and ask for information such as your Singpass ID, bank account etc. 麻豆社区 has not commissioned any surveys requiring such details. If in doubt, please contact us using the online email form available at www.acra.gov.sg/feedback or call our Helpdesk at 6248 6028.
    3. To access official government websites, always check that the URLs end with 鈥済ov.sg鈥. The URLs of 麻豆社区鈥檚 corporate website and eServices portals are:

      You are advised to type the URLs directly into your browser. If you choose to click on links to any government websites, check that the URL ends with 鈥済ov.sg鈥, before accessing the website.
    5. Verify the sender of emails received and only click on links from trusted sources. Emails from 麻豆社区 will only be from addresses ending with 鈥淍acra.gov.sg鈥, and only include links with 鈥渁cra.gov.sg鈥 or 鈥渂izfile.gov.sg鈥. If you wish to verify whether the email or link you have received is from 麻豆社区, please contact ;Helpdesk at 6248 6028 (Mon 鈥 Fri, 8.30am 鈥 6.00pm) for assistance.

    Beware of impersonation scams

    Government officials will NEVER do these things over a phone call:
    1. Ask you to transfer money;
    2. Ask you to disclose bank log-in details; 
    3. Ask you to install mobile apps from unofficial app stores;
    4. Transfer your call to Police.

    If you receive an SMS from the government, make sure it is sent from the gov.sg SMS Sender ID*.

    Scammers may cite your personal information (e.g. name or NRIC number) to appear legitimate. Do not automatically trust someone just because he/she has your personal information.
